Pairing: Kyouya X OC
Summary: Not exactly a great first impression when the new girl suddenly tries to punch you in the face. Kyouya is taken aback when this familiar girl attacks him, mistakening him for someone else. And when he gets on her bad side, he's in for a surprise. She isn't one to be underestimated.
“... joy...” the young girl sighed as she stared up at the giant school. Her two friends stood behind her as the taller more masculine one with dark brown hair and soft blue eyes stared in surprise, “Wow. I wish I could go here…”
“Why do you sound so disappointed? It’s huge.” the other, shorter, thinner, and more stylish one with black hair and red highlights and hazel eyes asked.
“It’s a fucking rich kid school, Valent.” she stated in annoyance. “They’re always so full of themselves.” The other told her, “You’ll make it through the day. We’ll come by after school.” She groaned, “Fine. See ya Cale. Valent.” They headed off as she turned back to the school and sighed, “Well… here I go…”

“Ugh.” the tall blonde screamed in pain. He glared at twins laughing not too far from him. “That hurt! You’re gonna get it!” As he began chasing them around the room, the doors opened and a girl with short black hair walked in. Confusion was on her face as she seemed lost, but telling from her ripped jeans, cheap tanktop and peeling nailpolish, she was obviously not a student.
“Oh. My bad…” she said, looking around the room to see the twins, the blonde, and three other people. “I was looking for a quiet room…”
“I’m sorry… but only students are allowed within the school.” a brown head adolescent said as he got up from the couch. The girl gave him a look, “Why the hell are you dressed like a guy?” Appall appeared on majority of the guy’s faces as the blonde and the twins screamed, “HOW DID YOU KNOW?!”
“Uhm, she looks like a girl.” she pointed out. The blonde suddenly lit up, “Wait a minute! Are you the new student?!” She nodded, “Yup… bye.” She headed out as the blonde stopped her, “Wait! While you’re here, we should introduce you to the club. I’m Suou Tamaki-” She was already gone before he could continue.
“Heh. I like her already.” the twins said together.
“What’s with all the noise…” they heard from the back room as a teen with short black hair and glasses emerged.
“Nothing, Kyouya.” Tamaki sighed. “We just met the new girl.”
“Oh, right… we have a new student.” he replied pulling out his laptop. He began typing as he flinched a bit, “R-Rayn Stridfer. Sophomore. Transferred from Klevon High. She’s on a scholarship and is currently living with some friends. No known relatives.”
“That’s it?” the twins asked.
“From the surface. Do you want me to dig deeper?” he wondered.
“Let’s see how it goes after school. During the host meeting.” Tamaki smiled.
~After School~
“Hey, guys! Look who we pulled in!” The twins said with a large smile as they dragged in Rayn. She glared, “ Alright I’m here! Let go!” She pulled free and groaned, “Hi… and Bye.” She headed for the door again as the twins blocked her off. They gave a smirk, “Welcome to Ouran High School’s Host Club! Allow us to introduce the members. The best men you’ll ever met, us, Hiitachin Hikaru and Kaoru, the devil types.” They motioned over to the girl in the host club, “Fujioka Haruhi, the natural type.” They pointed to the silent tall host, “Morizuka Takashi, the wild type.” Then they pointed to the little child like host, “And his cousin Mitsukuni Haninozuka, the Loli-shota. We all call him Hunny though.” Then they pointed at Tamaki, “That’s Suou Tamaki the prince type. And finally the cool type-- Hey, where’s Kyouya?”
“Okay, you introduce your host club. I’m going home now.” she began pushing past them, but they held her back. “Come on! Have some fun with us!” Before she could respond, her cell phone began ringing. She sighed, answering it, “Yeah? I know. I’d be there by now, but I was kidnapped by a pair of idiotic twins at my school. Uh-huh… ok. See ya.”
“Gee, thanks. I thought we were cool, Ray.” the twins pouted as she gave them a look, “The name is Rayn to you two.”
“Ray’s prettier.” they teased as she glared, “Only my best friends can call me Ray. I barely know you pest.”
“Ray, Ray, Ray!” They began running around her as she growled, “Cut it out!” She began to head for the door as they heard, “Geez, you guys are so loud…”
“Oh, there you are!” Tamaki beamed. “Why are you wet? And where’d you glasses go?”
“Some clumsy girl spilled all over me.” He groaned. “And my glasses are over there..”
“Ray! This is the cool type!” The twins pulled her over to him. “Ootori Kyo-” They were cut off as Kyouya moved to dodge her fist. A small paper fell from her bag as she swung at him again. He backed up, “What the-”
“Leave me alone!” she screamed going at him again when the doors opened and two guys ran in. One separated the two as the other grabbed Rayn around her waist, holding her back. She screamed in fury, glaring angrily at Kyouya, “Let me go! I’m gonna kill that bastard-”
“Ray!” the brown haired guy standing in front of her shouted. “Calm down. It isn’t him…” She began to relax as she nudged the gothic guy holding her off. She glared at Kyouya one last time, “Let’s go.” She left without another word.
“Sorry about her. She isn’t usually like this.” the gothic guy told them as the two followed after her.
“How weird…” the twins said, trying to break the silence that had appeared. Kaoru spotted something on the floor, “What’s this?” He picked up the piece of paper as he turned to Kyouya, “Hey, I think you dropped this.” He took it as Tamaki handed him his glasses. He put them on, staring at the photo Kaoru had given to him surprised, “This isn’t mine… This isn’t even me…”
“Really?” they all soon crowded around the photo. There stood a guy looking cool as ever. His shaggy black hair resembled Kyouya a lot as well as his relaxed face. However, his eyes were dark compared to Kyouya’s light brown ones.
“He does look a lot like you…” Haruhi stated. “Who do you think he is?”
“Rayn Stridfer…” he answered. “This is her picture. His name is Riley Revers. He attends Klevon High.”
“Must be an enemy. She doesn’t seem to like him very much.” Tamaki stated as Kyouya thought quietly to himself.

“... where is that girl?” the twins awaited Rayn the next morning in class. When she finally came in, they lit up, but were surprised to see the two guy she was with yesterday, with her today.
“Rayn, what’s with these two?”
“Oh, you guys must be her idiot twin classmates.” the brown haired guy smiled. “I’m Cale.”
“Name’s Valent.” the gothic one stated. “Unfortunately, she was being rebellious and wouldn’t go to school unless we enrolled with her.” The twins looked at each other, then turned to Rayn, “Hey… what was that with Kyouya-”
“Just shut up. I don’t wanna talk about it.” she glared taking a seat as they stood over her, “Well what about the picture you dropped? The guy who looks like him.” She flinched as anger seemed to form on her two friends’ faces. “You still had his picture?!”
“Urgh. I knew I shouldn’t have come…” she gritted as she got up, glaring at the twins as she made her way for the door. Cale grabbed her hand, blocking her as he scolded, “We told you to get rid of all of them!” She sighed, pulling her hand free and made her way to the window. She jumped onto the ledge as a few of the students began to panic.
“Ray!” Valent called. “We’re on the damn, second story!” She ignored him as she balanced on the ledge and slowly jumped on a nearby tree and climbed down. She ran off out of their sight as the twins beamed, “Whoa… a dare-devil isn’t she?” The two guys glared at them as their class began.
~After School~
“Look, it isn’t any of your business.” Cale said to the host after he and Valent were dragged to the host room by the twins. “Give us the picture and we’ll get outta your hair.”
“One of our members was attacked. It is definitely our business.” Haruhi replied. Valent and Cale gave each other a look as Cale said, “Fine… but there’s not much we can tell you.” He put his hand out to Kyouya, “The picture?”
“...” he was hesitant, but handed it to him. Cale explained, “This is Riley Revers. A guy Ray despise to the depths of her being because of something he did to her.”
“What did he do?”
“We can’t tell you.” Valent said as they all began shouting in anger.
“Hey, we told you we couldn’t tell you much! That’s Ray’s private life!” Cale stated.
“Cale Stalen. Sophomore. Transferred from Klevon High with Valent Alborn.” Kyouya said as the two guys flinched. He continued to read off his laptop, “Both currently living with Rayn Stridfer in an apartment building a couple blocks from the school. Both former best friends of Riley Revers.”
“How…” Valent glared. “Get outta our business! We’re outta here.” They stormed out as Kyouya smirked, “How about we pay them a little visit?”
~
Knock Knock
“What the hell are you all doing here?!” Valent groaned as he answered the door to their apartment. The twins snaked past him and into their place as they beamed, “We aren’t leaving until we hear the whole story!”
“Get the hell out or we’ll call the police!” Cale came over in anger.
“Ray! Ray!” the twins began screaming as Valent gritted, “She isn’t home! She never came home… she know’s she gonna get a mouthful when she does…”
“..why? Because of that little picture?” Haruhi asked.
“This picture is a problem.” Cale held it up as they suddenly heard, “You got it back?!” They turned in surprise as Ray appeared, grabbing the photo and rushing back upstairs into a room, closing it shut.
“What the hell?! You were fucking here the entire time?!” Valent shouted as he and Cale stormed up the stairs pounding on her door. “Rayn! Open the damn door!” There was no response as they screamed, “Rayn!”
“May we?” Tamaki beamed as they moved outta the way. Mori came over and kicked the door down.
“Geez!” Rayn jumped “You didn’t have to…” She trailed off as she spotted the Hosts and Kyouya. “Joy…”
“Give me the picture, Ray… now.” Cale growled as she shook her head.
“Aww, Rayn-chan, is this your boyfriend?” Hunny called looking at a picture hanging on her mirror. There she was happily smiling as a guy stood behind her, cuddling in close as he smiled brightly into the camera. “You’re so cute together!” Ray blushed as she quickly grabbed the picture off it.
“Ray!” Valent called as she threw the picture of Riley at them.
“There!” she cuddled the picture of the couple. “But you aren’t getting this one. Now all of you get out of my room!”
“Ray! Hand it over!” Cale told her as she glared, “I said no!” She ran for the window, but Kyouya blocked her.
“I think you should start explaining about this Revers…” he said strongly as she growled, “I don’t need to explain anything to you!” He smirked, “Well… if you want this back…” He held up the picture of her and the guy as she flinched, seeing that it was gone from her grasp. “I suggest you tell us.”
“Wha… Give it back!” she demanded. Tamaki suggested, “Maybe we should give it to Cale. He’ll get rid of it for sure…” She flinched, an almost hurt expression appeared on her face as she cave, “No! I’ll tell you alright… just give me the photo back…”
“Start talking…” Kyouya told her as she gritted, “Fine… it started halfway through my first semester as a freshmen.
~Flashback~
“Rayn…” someone called to her as she and her friends went to lunch. Behind her was Riley Revers, one of the hottest guys in her year, along with his group of friends. He nervously rubbed the back of his neck, “I, uhm… was wondering… if-If you’d have lunch with me…” A blush formed on her face as her friends pushed her towards him, “Go on, Rayn! He’s super cute!”
“O-Okay…” she said softly as the two began walking off together.

“We started dating after that… for seven months.” she said as Hikaru questioned, “Wait. Riley? Isn’t he the one who looks like Kyouya? We thought you hated him.”
“Our relationship was amazing…” she said sadly. “That is until…”
“Until I told her Riley’s secret.” Cale said. “A week before they broke up, I found out he was cheating on her… with her older sister.”
“That wasn’t the worst part…” she bit her lip. “I broke up with him. And he didn’t even care. He just continued to be with my sister. That’s when I left home, it was just me and my sister, but I left her after she betrayed me. And these guys took me in with open arms.”
“After finding out what he did, we both knew we didn’t want such an asshole of a friend.” Valent stated.
“And then… one night they were out…”
“And they got into an accident.” Cale continued for her. “Riley survived… But her sister.” The three hung their heads as since filled the room. Ray sniffled a bit, but didn’t shed a tear, “Anyways…. that’s why I hate the bastard so much. I liked him so much and he cheated with and killed my sister.” She looked at Kyouya, staring emotionless at her. “So please… can i have the picture back?” Silence was filled again as he began handing the photo out towards her, only to rip it right down the middle. Between her and Riley. She stared awestruck as she fell weak-kneed, “W-Why… Why the hell would you do that?! I told you everything?!”
“You’re pretty clingy for a girl who hates his guts so much.” he said strongly. “You said it yourself. You hate that bastard so much. Stop living in the past and get over him then.” He walked past her and past the other host as he told them, “I know why now… we don’t have any more reasons to be here.” He left without another word.
“Ray… It’s time to move on.” Valent said supportively as he patted her back. “Just get over him already. You deserve better than him.”
“You should go…” Cale turned to the other host as they all left Ray alone.
~A Week Later~
“I still think you were kinda harsh…” the twins said to Kyouya. “She’s locked herself in that room and hasn’t come out since the incident.”
“So?”
“You’ve never been this heartless before…” Hunny pouted at him as he glared at all of them, “So what? She should just grow up and get over him. She should decide! If she hates him, then she shouldn’t clingy to stupid photos like that! Is she likes him, then she should go crawl right back to him!” Hunny moved away at his angry voice. “Girl are such pest. Especially clingy ones like Rayn.”
“I’ve at least had something.” they heard as the twins lit up, “Rayn!”
“Unlike you...I’ve had that experience of being in love with someone. Even if it didn’t last long, It was still there temporarily.” she explained. “If you’ve felt it, you’d know why I would cling to it so badly. Riley...was my first boyfriend. This is all new to me…”
“How would you know I never been in love?”
“I can tell.” she said. “I have this gut feeling. And there’s also the fact that you’re a host. You make woman happy with just words. That’s not love…”
“You could always be wrong…” he said as she moved in front of him. She look him right into his light brown eyes as she said, “I’m not wrong… and guess what?” He was caught offguard as she suddenly leaned into him, their cheeks brushing as she whispered into his ear, “I intend to get you back for what you did….”
“A-And how do you plan to do that?” he said with a soft blush forming on his face. She moved a bit away, their faces barely apart as she smirked, “How? By making you experience love yourself.” He gave her a look, when she suddenly moved into him, their lips meeting. All the host’s jaws dropped in shock as Kyouya flinched as she snaked her tongue through his lips and began playing with his tongue. She pulled away, and wiped her lips as she winked with a cute smile, “Try not to fall too hard for me…” She headed for the door, where a shocked Cale and Valent stood.
“...whoa…” the twins broke the silence. “You’re going down hard, Kyouya….” He turned red, “S-Shut up! I am not gonna fall for that stupid girl!” Tamaki sighed, “Well with a performance like that… any guy would fall…” The twins nodded in agreement as well as the other host.
~After School~
“Hey there, tiger…” Kyouya heard a seductive voice as he flinched. He groaned, “What are you doing here, pest?” She pouted, “Don’t need to fool me with that attitude. I know you knew I’d come.” He sighed, “So I’m guessing I’m your host.” She nodded as he smirked, “Well, I’m guessing you didn’t think this through. I still have other customers.”
“Oh, I definitely thought about that.” she winked. “You got some new members.” She pointed as they looked over at Cale and Valent surrounded with majority of the girls. He groaned again as she smiled, So, since you’re a host you should make your customer happy. Let’s go out on a date.” Before he could respond, she had already begun to pull him out.
“Why am I here…” he gave her an annoyed look as they walked around the mall. She told him, “You’re my host… If you’re not happy, I’m not happy.” He sighed, giving a forced smile, “Rayn, why are we here?” She beamed, “Because I wanted to go out with you, Kyou-kun.” She gave him a soft, cute giggled as he blushed. He turned away as she moved towards him, whispering, “Huh? Falling already?” He quickly moved away, “I’m not! Who’d like an annoying brat like you?!” They stood in silence as bystanders turned to look at them. She pouted, small tears forming in her eyes, “What kind of host would embarrass his one and only customer like that? You’re the worst, Kyou-kun!” She began to sob quietly into a hankerchief as he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck, “Geez, I’m sorry… I’ll treat you to a treat if you stop--”
“Great.” she smiled brightly as she began to pull him away. That’s when they heard, “Ray?” Rayn seemed to freeze as Kyouya turned to the voice. A serious expression grew on his face as he looked at the familiar Riley Revers. He flinched at seeing Kyouya as he looked back at Rayn, “Ray.. it is you… isn’t it?” She finally turned to face him, anger was all over her face. She growled, “You’ve got a lot of nerves!”
“Ray, how many times do I have to apologize-”
“I don’t care how many times! Just stay away from me!” She screamed as she grabbed Kyouya’s hand. “Let’s go!” Riley quickly reached out, grabbing the same hand in Kyouya’s, “Ray, please--”
“Don’t touch me!” she pulled away from both of them as Kyouya noticed her eyes full of tears. And unlike her little performance with him, they were real. She ran off in a hurry as he called, “Rayn!”
“Hold on.” Riley stopped him. “You… can’t possibly be her boyfriend…”
“And why can’t I?” he glared. “Unlike you… I don’t intend to make her unhappy.” He left, quickly chasing after Rayn. Riley stared off, “Looks like you finally have your chance… Kyouya-senpai.”
“RAYN!” she suddenly heard as she ran across the street. “WATCH OUT!” She turned and froze as a truck was heading right for her. She was suddenly tackled down as they stopped rolling and Kyouya was on top of her. He panted heavily screaming, “You idiot! You’re not suppose to cross when--” He stopped as she wiped her dripping face. He sighed as he helped her. A surprise expression grew on her as Kyouya suddenly hugged her, “Relax… he’s gone. You’re alive. Everything’s fine.” She gave him a confused look as he smiled, “Now why don’t we get that treat I promised you?” Before she could respond, he pulled her off holding her by her hand.
“... Kyou-kun….” she said softly as the two shared a medium ice cream sundae. He took a scoop of it as he smiled, “Feeling better?” She gave him a look, “What are you up to?”
“What do you mean?” he laughed a bit.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” she stated. “You were calling me annoying and a pest before.” He thought, “Well, I’ve decided to fight fire with fire.” She gave him a confused glance as he smiled, leaning over the table closer to her as he met her lips. Surprise filled her face as the two began french kissing. He pulled away as a large blush grew on her face, “I’m gonna make you fall in love with me too…” She stuttered, getting up, “I-I should get home. Cale and Valent will be worried.”
“I’ll walk you.” he offered as she shook her head, “N-No. It’s late and our homes are in opposite direction. See ya.” Before he could argue, she rushed off. He smiled a bit when it vanished as he heard, “So you are taking your chance…”
“Yup… It’s all thanks to you. Because you screwed up she hates your guts.” he stated as Riley smirked, “Yet she hasn’t gotten over me. You can try all you want senpai, but I won’t lose to you.”
“Too bad she hates your guts.”
“I’ll be sure to fix that.” he smirked as he headed off. “May the best man win.”
“I intend to.” he beamed as he pulled out his phone, calling his chauffeur. “Hiroshi, I want to pick my friend tomorrow. I’ll give you her address now..” Little did he know someone was listening in to the conversation.
~Next Day~
“Ray! Get the damn door!” Valent groaned in the morning, still in his bed as he threw his pillow over his head. She came out of the bathroom yelling, “Shut up and do it yourself, Val! I’m busy!” She grabbed her bag outta her room as she banged on his door, “Get your lazy ass outta bed! You’re gonna be late!” She ran down the stairs as she walked through the kitchen where Cale called from behind the counter, “Don’t forget breakfast.”
“Lemme just get the door first.” she said heading over to it. She opened it, “Wha-”
“Hey, Ray-” The door slammed in his face as Cale came over, “Who was it-” She ran right past him shouting, “I’m not going to school today!” He gave a confused look as he opened the door. Anger grew on his face as surprise came upon the guy outside.
“C-Cale?! You’re living with Ray?!” he panicked as he growled, “Get outta here, Riley! You aren’t welcomed here!” He went to close the door as Riley stopped him, “Wait a damn minute! Why the hell are you living with Rayn?!”
“Because I can actually stay by her side without cheating on her with her older sister!” he scolded.
“Man! What with all the fucking noise?! Can’t a guy-” Valent screamed as he came into view. As he and Riley took notice of each other, he glared, “Riley! You fucking bastard! You got a lot of guts coming here!”
“Valent’s here too?!” he said in disbelief. “What? Is the whole gang living with her?!”
“Just the ones who saw the horrible douchebag you were.” Cale gritted. “After what you did to her, you shouldn’t even be showing your face to her!”
“Look, I know I made a mistake-”
“Ha! That’s cute! You think it’s such a small thing you did but you hurt her!” Valent said.
“I still like her!”
“As if! You did more than hurt her, you scarred her!” Cale added. “And all for what?! To beat some senpai you hated!” Riley flinched as he nodded, “Yeah, I found out. The other guys coincidentally contacted us about it last night!”
“Yeah, we know about that guy you were always jealous of and you befriended him just to screw him over. And we know now that you only went for Ray because he had a huge crush on her!” Valent stated as they heard a loud angry voice call, “What?!” Ray approached, angrier than they have ever seen her as she glared, “You used me?! To get at some guy you were jealous of?!”
“Ray, it’s not-” he panicked as Cale and Valent said, “Don’t lie to her! It’s about time she heard the truth from you!”
“Ray… it started off like that, it did. But I began to really like you.”
“Bullshit!” she screamed at him, “What makes you think I’d fall for such a stupid--” He suddenly kissed her as Valent suddenly punched him off. “That’s it asshole!” Cale held him back, “Now’s not the time, Val.”
“You fucking asshole. Don’t ever do that again!” she wiped her lips. “Just stay away from me!”
“Ray-”
“You heard her! Leave!” the two guys back her up when they heard a horn. They looked past Riley as a limo was parked in front of their driveway. Kyouya emerged from it as Riley’s face became bitter.
“huh… look who’s here…” he looked at Riley as Ray sighed, “Now’s not a good time Kyouya-”
“I wanted to give you a ride to school.” he smiled as Riley said, “She’s a little busy right now.”
“I don’t need you to be speaking for me.” she glared. “Look, if you won’t leave, then I will.” She grabbed her bag and walked passed Kyouya. “And I don’t need a ride from you either Kyouya. See you at school.”
“What?” Riley gave a look. “You go to school with senpa--” He stopped himself as Ray flinched. She looked at Riley and back at Kyouya who grinned.
“Kyouya… he’s the senpai Riley hated.” Valent said surprised. “The one that had a crush on Ray…”
“Yup. That squirt copied everything I did. My looks, my style,... my love interest…” he took a glance at Ray. “At first I thought it was just that he wanted a role model, but I soon discovered he was jealous of my popularity. By then it was too late. He already made his move on my crush…” That’s when Riley lit up, “You…” He turned to Kyouya glaring, “You set me up!”
“What are you talking about?” Cale wondered as Kyouya smiled, “Let me explain. After Ray and I ran into him yesterday, he’s goal of keeping her away from me returned. You see after I transferred was probably around the time he began cheating on you with your sister, Ray.” She listened as he continued, “So when Ray left, he confronted me. Saying he’d get you back. I wasn’t gonna let him ruin my chance with you again. So I made sure he’d lead you to the truth.”
“My secret about you… only one guy in my group knew…” Riley said as Kyouya nodded, “And I paid him a fair amount to tell Cale and Valent last night. Just like I made sure you heard where she lived. That way, she would not only hear the truth….” He turned to Ray and smiled, “But she’d finally get over such a bastard.”
“You never felt anything for me….” she said to Riley.
“Ray-”
“Get outta here, Revers.” she smiled. “You lost. I never want to see you again.” She turned to Kyouya, “Mind if I take that ride?” He smiled walking over to the limo as he opened the door for her and the two headed off.
“So… I really was wrong…” she sighed. Kyouya gave her a questioning look, “About you loving. You just never felt it in return…” He nodded as she smiled, “Heh, no wonder you feel for me so fast.”
“I never got over you.” he said softly.
“It has only been a year.”
“So… have you finally fallen for me?” he asked a bit nervously. She smiled, “Nope…” Hurt filled him when a warm sensation touched his lips. She pulled away, winking, “Because I’ve already fallen…” He smiled happily, wrapping an arm around her, “When did this happen?”
“Heh, when I tried to beat you.” she admitted. “Honestly, you were really hot and I recognized you from Klevon. I was… just scared… to be attracted to someone again. I didn’t want to feel a broken heart again.”
“Rayn… I would never do that to you.” he said as she smiled, “I know… you a million times better than that jerk.” They soon leaned into each other and their lips met when they soon arrived at school. They walked off hand-in-hand, ready to begin their new relationship.
