Pairing: Riku X OC
Summary: The always serious Noel ends up back in the place she ultimately despises. What happens when someone sees her there, someone who's been missing her dearly...

The cold breeze dance upon the mellow waves all the way to the sandy beach. I stood on that beach, panting a bit, regaining my breath. Sweat dripped from me as the wind blew my raven black hair away from my face. I stared off at every inch of that beach. The waterfall near a secret cave, the bridge, the deformed palm tree kids would sit on. Everything on that island, even every grain of sand ... I hated. Just the thought of being here pisses me off. Yet this is where most of my missions are... where all the action takes place. I turned ready to return home, when I heard something. A voice. One that made my blood boil. Kairi. The memories of my childhood rushed into my mind. The beach was much brighter then. A smile was always on my face. I would always be hanging out with my two best friends, Sora and Riku. We thought our fun together would last forever... but we were wrong.

“Riku? Sora?” I remember myself looking for them that day. They were late to meet me so I had gone looking for them. That's when I saw her. A smile was on her face as well as Sora's and Riku's as my world collapsed. I had been replaced. Kairi had taken away my happiness, my friends, … my crush. I can still see the way Riku would watch her and smile at her. My heart turned to ashes as I would watch them everyday, happily hanging out together. Kairi had ruined everything. I held back, and decided to go home when I heard another familiar voice.

“What the--” I turned as the familiar blue-green eyes pierced through me. “You... wait a minute, Noel? Is... is that you?” I flinched back a bit surprised as he asked, “God, that is you... what happened to you? Where've you been?” I then snapped, “As if you care! You and Sora totally forgot I existed!”

“Well if I did I wouldn't have remembered you right now. Why would I forget you?!” he responded. I sneered, “Why would you forget me??!! Are you kidding me?! You and Sora both ditched me for that whore!” I pointed at Kairi as she shouted, “You guys were my best friends and totally forgot I was even alive!”

“That's not true--”

“Oh really?! So you just left me alone for the past 3 years because that's how you treat all your best friends?!” I sarcastically retorted. He was speechless as I glared, “Just what I thought...” I turned to go as he called, “Noel! Where are you going now?!”

“Stop acting like you care about me already!” I shouted at him pissed.

“I'm being serious alright?! Geez, what happened to you?! You were never like this before...” he told her.

“Well maybe because I'm not the same girl I was before!” I explained. “You can thank that girl for it...”

“What have you got against Kairi? You've never met each other and she hasn't done anything wrong.” he wondered as I groaned, “She didn't do anything to me?! Hell, what do you know?! She's done everything to me! Everything that's my life right now is all her fault!”

“What did she do that was so bad?!”

“She took my life away!” she screamed at him. “She stole everything from me! My life, my friends, my happiness! Even you!” I couldn't hold back the tears forming in my eyes as he was taken by surprise. “Everything I cared about! Gone the minute she came here! I lost everything!”

“Come on... it can't be that bad--”

“Wanna bet?!”

“Look, Noel. I know we've gotten distant, but I'm still here for you--”

“Then where were you these last 3 years?! Off with that bitch?!

“I was looking for her as well as Sora after this our home was taken over by darkness!” he explained as I said, “And you didn't bother to find out whatever happened to me?!” He was speechless as I scolded, “Well, guess what?! While you were off looking for that bitch, I was stuck here on this lousy island, being consumed by the darkness!”

“Consume--”

“Yea! That's right! If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have been all alone! I wouldn't have been full of hatred! I wouldn't have lost a thing! And I wouldn't have lost my heart!”

“Your heart. You're a nobody?!” he said in shock.

“Yea, a nobody....” I sneered. “As if anyone cares... I was a nobody even when I had a heart. The minute she showed up, I vanished! No one took notice of me! I was invisible!” He shook his head, “That isn't tru--”

“Yes it is! I was always on my own! Even when I walked by, no one even took one glance at me!”

“So what? Am I no one? I'm sure I've said hi to you and waved hi in the past!”

“Not once!” I retorted angrily. “My two best friends didn't even take notice of me! You know how much that tore me apart?!” He was trying to think as I screamed, tears falling, “I wanted to die! I just wanted out of this horrid pla-” Suddenly his arms wrapped around me. I suddenly felt warm... a feeling I hadn't felt in years-- But wait.. I'm a nobody... I shouldn't have feelings at all.

“What the hell are you doing?!” I shouted pushing him away.

“Noel, I'm sorry for what happened in the past, but I swear I never forgot you! There's no way I could--”

“Yes you did! If you didn't then you're just horrible! Ignoring me as if I never exist--” I stopped in surprise as I felt pressure against my lips. My body began to tingle and I became more relax. Riku slid his arm around my waist, hugging me as he deepened the kiss. He pulled away, “Noel, I was stupid okay? You... you weren't the only one consume by the darkness, I was too... But I was able to get out of the darkness... because I had found my light. I had to come back to find you.”

“Your light..” I said surprised. “I just told you I was consumed by darkness! I can't possibly be light at the same time!” He chuckled a bit, “If there's one thing I learned on our adventure... it's that wherever there's darkness, there has to be light as well... even if its just a little.” I thought as he leaned into me again and kissed me.

“I love you, Noel.” he smiled. “And don't say you don't feel the same way--”

“I can't feel the same way!” I pouted to him as he laughed, “What? Cause you don't have a heart? You may act different but you're still Noel.” I tried to think as he smiled, “Come on..you can say those three words can't you?”

“I don't feel that way--”

“Haha, after all you just said! Come on.” he playfully smiled. “It's obvious you feel the same way about me... despite not having a heart...”

“...iloveyou...” I mumbled as he smiled, “What was that?”

“I love you...”

“Can't hear you...”

“God damn it, Riku! I love you!” I screamed loudly as I then blushed. He laughed and hugged me tightly. “I missed you Noel...” Then he kissed me... again.
