Pairing: Death the Kid X OC
Summary: After a long, intense battle against the witch Medusa, Aela and her partner Zach make it safely back home. With only some injuries, Aela returns to her classes whereas her partner is healing in the hospital. However, even though it may be same, the scar on Aela's face bothers her so much... it makes her... unsymmetrical.
“Geez... just look at her... what a freak...” girls whispered as she walked by. She did her best to ignore them as she continued on her way. “Hm, thinks she so great just because she's partners with Zach. She just got lucky.”
“Aela!” she then heard as a smile soon formed on her depressed face. She turned to her friend, “Maka!”
“Hey, don't let those jerks get you down okay?” she smiled. “They're just jealous of you.”
“I guess.” she stated softly.“Where's the others?”
“Well you know the guys. They probably won't be here til 5 minutes after class starts. Tsubaki's probably there already. Come on!” Before she could even respond, Maka began pulling Aela towards their classroom.
“Ohayo!” Maka smiled as she bursted into the classroom. They headed towards their seats as girls began whispering, “Ugh, she looks so gross...” Aela hung her head a bit as Maka said, “Hey! She happened to save all of us the trouble of defeating Medusa! What's your excuse?!” The girl gasped in shock trying to think of a comeback as they walked away. Aela smiled, “Thanks Maka. You're the best!”
“What? Did you expect me to let her get away with that?” she stated. “I'm not gonna let her talk smack about my friends.” They smiled as they heard, “Maka, Aela.”
“Tsubaki, ohayo!” Aela smiled as she took the seat next to her.
“Ohayo... how's your eye?” she wonder as Aela touched the long, nasty-looking scar across her left eye. She sighed, “It doesn't hurt anymore if that's what your asking... but it still bugs me.”
“Aw, come on. It's not that bad.” She heard as Soul came in. “It's a battle scar, Aela. Shows how tough you are.” Maka gasped, “Oh my gosh! The boys aren't late today!”
“That's surprising.” Aela beamed.
“You didn't need to fix the symmetry in your room this morning, Kid?” Maka tease as he smiled, “Actual, it didn't take that long today. So, I'm not late like usual.”
“...I was joking...” she told him as he responded, “But I wasn't. You doing alright now, Aela?” She nodded, “Yea. I'm okay.” He smiled at her, making her blush a bit as he said, “Well that's good.”
“Hey, what about Zach?” Soul wondered. “He alright?”
“Of course!” she giggled. “He may be recovering in a hospital bed right now, but he's still flirting like crazy with the nurse.” Maka smiled, “Geez, that guy! He just doesn't stop does he?!” Aela shook her head as class soon began.
“Minna, ohayo.” Their teacher, Dr. Stein, said. “A few announcements...”
“Geez, same old boring stuff...” Soul sighed, completely ignoring Stein. He thought, “When's something fun gonna happen...”
“Maybe when you start pay attention!” Stein scolding him as they all noticed him appear next to them, scaring the crap outta Soul. He groaned, “Now, where was I... oh last thing on the list. This friday will be the school dance at 8 pm til 11.”
“A dance?! Awesome!” Soul cheered as Tsubaki nodded.
“We haven't had one of those in forever!” Maka smiled. Then she lit up, “Hey! This is a great time to ask someone out!” Aela asked, “You've been planning to ask someone out, Maka?”
“Well, not exactly... but it'd be fun to go with a date right?” she smiled. “Who would you guys ask?” Tsubaki thought, “Well... I actually would rather go with just you guys... A date would probably make me nervous...”
“Aww, come on Tsubaki...” Maka pouted. “What about you Aela?” She tried to avoid lookking over at Kid as she stuttered, “Uh, well... I dunno...” She sighed, “Really? Soul? Kid? Are you gonna ask anyone?”
“Probably.” Soul shrugged as Kid thought, “Hmm, maybe.” Aela lit up a bit as Maka smiled, “Great! So I'm not the only one! Aela, Tsubaki, let's go out so we can pick out what to wear.”

“Geez...” Soul groaned as he and Kid dropped all the bags they were carrying. The took a seat with the girls at the food court. “Seriously... what's with girls and shopping?” Kid nodded, “And how do you have fun with this? It's exhausting...”
“Heh heh, well you get use to it.” Aela smiled.
“AH!” Maka soon shot up. “Tsubaki! That dress over there would look perfect on you! Soul, come with us! WE'll be right back, you two!” She grabbed Soul and Tsubaki and ran towards the store. Aela sighed as Kid smiled, “You really get used to this?”
“Well... being friends with Maka... yes.” she smiled. “You at least don't come here with her every day after school.” He laughed a bit, “Well, lucky me...”
“...So... who are you planning to ask?” she then asked. “To the dance?”
“Oh... well...” he thought as he fidgeted a little. “... I'm not sure... I just thought it'd be fun to go with someone...”
“I-Is there.. a girl you like?” she stuttered. He avoided her gaze as he sighed, “Yea... there is... I'm not too sure if she likes me back, but she's the most perfect girl in the world.” Her head hung a bit as she thought to herself, 'Oh... so there is someone... damn it, Medusa!' She shut her eyes tight, holding in tears, 'Why?! Why'd you have to give me this stupid scar?! He obviously doesn't like me because of it! It's gross looking and it makes me unsymmetrical! Totally ruining my chances with him!'
“Aela... Aela, you okay?” Kid asked worried. Her eyes had turned red as she then blushed, “Uh.. well... I'm heading home...” She quickly got up as Kid shot up, “Let me go with you...”
“It's okay.” she gave a small smile, hiding her pain. “Um, you should ask that girl out... before someone else ask her...” He thought and sighed, “Alright then... I will, but let me walk you home first.”
“... okay then.” she gave in. They left and walked together in silence. Aela thought and finally said, “So... who is she?”
“Who?” he wondered.
“The girl... you want to ask to the Dance?” she questioned. He thought and stopped walking to turn to her, “Aela...”
“Yea?”
“Will you go to the dance with me?” A surprised expression grew on her face as she left like a firework was lit and blasted into the sky of her heart. She was speechless, but she then asked, “Me? Really, Kid?” He nodded as she blushed, “B-But... my scar...”
“What about it?” he shrugged.
“I'm unsymmetrical...”
“Aela...” he sighed. “I don't care that your unsymmetrical. I mean look at me... I've liked you even before your fight with Medusa. I really like you, with or without the scar. You're the most perfect girl I ever met...” Her happiness soon lead to tears of joy as she nodded, “I feel the same way Kid. I'd love to go to the dance with you.” He smiled relieved to hear her answer as he then pulled her into him, meeting her lips. She returned it and soon they were a couple.
